This is where you will find all information on importing your firearms as well as the form required at customs.

  • Equipment:
  • Rifle (270-338 range is recommended)
  • 20-30 rounds of ammunition
  • Bow
  • 20-30 arrows
  • Soft gun case (optional) (for in the charter plane or while travelling by ATV, hard gun cases will be left at base camp)
  • Binoculars
  • Spotting scope (optional)
  • Rangefinder (optional)
  • Camera
  • Headlamp, Flashlight
  • Lighter
  • Water bottle (Nalgene type)
  • Sleeping bag and travel pillow
  • Satellite phone (one will be in camp for emergencies but not for personal use)
  • Packsack (day pack 1,500-3,000 cu. in. range)
  • Mole skin for blisters
  • Clothing:
  • 2 sets of long underwear (moisture wicking i.e. Under Armour or Smart Wool)
  • 4-6 pairs of socks
  • Underwear (comfortable for walking)
  • 1 pair of waterproof hunting boots
  • 1 pair of camp shoes
  • 2-3 pairs of hunting pants
  • 2-3 shirts
  • 1 lightweight jacket or vest for walking
  • 1 heavy coat
  • 2 pairs of gloves
  • 1 stocking hat (beanie, knit cap)
  • Good raingear
  • Gaiters
  • Balaclava (riding on ATV’s can be quite cold on the face in Sept and Oct)
  • ATV helmet (all hunters must wear a helmet while riding or driving ATV’s !!! One will be provided for you if you do not choose to bring your own)

****Quiet clothing is very important (wool, fleece, cotton) ****

**** Hunter orange is not required for any of our hunts****

  • Personal:
  • Tooth brush
  • Lip Balm
  • Shampoo & soap
  • Small towel and washcloth
  • Deodorant
  • Baby wipes
  • Talcum Powder (“baby powder” to prevent chafing)
  • Prescription medication (pack this in your carry on so it cannot be lost if baggage is)
  • Advil or Aspirin
  • Medicated ointment
  • Insect repellant for early season hunts
  • Sunglasses
  • Miscellaneous:

  • Signed hunt contract for customs at airport or border crossing
  • Non-Resident Firearms Declaration form ****(sign only at customs)****
  • Bank draft, Travelers checks and U.S. cash (trophy fees, gratuities)
  • Your outfitter's contact info ****(very important in the event customs wants to contact us)****
